Thinking about new countertops for your Tucson kitchen or bathroom? Below are answers to the questions we hear most often from homeowners across Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Sahuarita, and the rest of Southern Arizona.
1. How much do granite countertops cost in Tucson?
Pricing depends on the slab you choose, the size of your countertop, edge profile, and cutouts needed for sinks or cooktops. Our installed pricing includes template, fabrication, removal of old countertops, and installation, so there are no hidden surprises. Call us for a free, no-obligation estimate based on your specific project.
2. What’s the difference between granite and quartz?
Granite is a natural stone, so every slab has unique veining and color variation. Quartz is an engineered material made from crushed stone and resin, which gives it a more uniform pattern and slightly more resistance to staining. Both are durable options for Arizona homes, and our team can help you decide which fits your kitchen or bathroom best.
3. How long does countertop installation take?
Most projects move from template to installation in about 7-10 business days. If you’re on a tighter deadline for a remodel or new construction, ask us about expedited service.
4. Do I need to seal granite countertops?
Most granite countertops benefit from periodic sealing to help resist staining and keep the surface looking its best. Our team can recommend a sealing schedule based on the specific stone you choose.
5. Can you match my existing granite?
We’ll do our best to find a close match using our slab selection, though natural stone varies from quarry to quarry, so an exact match isn’t always guaranteed. Bring a sample or photo to our showroom and we’ll help you find the closest option.
6. Do you remove old countertops?
Yes. Removal of your old countertops is included as part of our installation process, so you don’t have to handle demolition yourself.
7. How heat-resistant is granite?
Granite is naturally heat-resistant and can handle hot pots and pans better than many other surfaces. That said, we still recommend using trivets or hot pads to protect the finish over time.
8. What edge profiles do you offer?
We offer a variety of edge profiles, from simple straight and beveled edges to more decorative options like bullnose or ogee. Visit our showroom to see samples in person before you decide.
9. Can I see the actual slab before installation?
Absolutely. We encourage every customer to visit our Tucson showroom to view full-size slabs in person, compare colors under natural Arizona lighting, and select the exact piece that will become their countertop.
10. What areas do you serve around Tucson?
We proudly serve Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Catalina, Catalina Foothills, Sahuarita, Vail, Green Valley, Rita Ranch, Flowing Wells, Tanque Verde, and Corona de Tucson, as well as Benson, Willcox, Sierra Vista, Nogales, and the surrounding Pima, Cochise, and Santa Cruz County areas.

13. What’s included in your installed pricing?

14. Is there a promotion for a free sink?
We currently offer a free stainless steel sink with the purchase of a 55+ square foot countertop. Ask our team for current promotion details when you request your quote.
15. Do you fabricate countertops locally?
Yes. Every countertop is custom-cut and hand-finished in our own Tucson fabrication workshop, which allows for precise measurements and custom edge profiles.
16. Can I use my kitchen right after installation?
In most cases, kitchens are fully usable within 48 hours of installation, minimizing disruption to your daily routine.
